[Podmate’s] share touched something inside of me. I wrote this during my silent time instead of going to a breakout room:
Giving is receiving. I have to be ready to receive if I want to give. I still have the wetiko feeling of "I can't receive something for nothing." It's a holdover from my small town, poor upbringing. We don't take charity. We work for what we have. No welfare here. It was a point of pride. But that idea stops us from giving, too. If we don't take charity because it is shameful, then why would we give it? I finally see this wetiko falsehood and am making "I am ready to receive" my mantra until I really am ready to receive. And therefore, to give.
This is the last reflection from Laddership this year. I hope this story of change, long as it was, helps create ripples of change throughout the world. Let me know if you want your Change Story here (in exchange for a free session or as a donation!) You can shoot me a DM or send me an email at eshuler@innerevolutioncoach.com.
A similar thing is coming to me right now.
Unconditional giving and unconditional receiving is how I see Love flowing in a vision of heaven.
I have always been good at giving.
Now I am open to receive.
